In the spirit of Small Business Week, Country Bank proudly salutes the backbone of our communities – small businesses. Our Retail Banking Officers embarked on a journey this month to connect with the heartbeat of our local economy – the small businesses that enrich our neighborhoods and fuel our prosperity.

Their mission was simple yet profound: to extend our gratitude, support, and admiration to the unsung heroes behind these businesses. With each visit, they didn’t just conduct transactions; they forged and strengthened genuine relationships, celebrated achievements, and shared aspirations.

Throughout their encounters, they witnessed firsthand the passion, resilience, and innovation that define small business owners. From family-owned cafes to artisanal boutiques, their dedication knows no bounds. They’re not just entrepreneurs; they’re dreamers, risk-takers, and community builders.

“I always enjoy stopping in to see my business customers during small business week.  They always mention how nice it is that Country Bank supports them in this way each year and how that is an example of true relationship building and community support,” shared Tracey Perry, Retail Banking Officer of our Wilbraham Banking Center.

At Country Bank, we recognize the invaluable contributions of small businesses to our local economies. They generate employment, drive innovation, and infuse our neighborhoods with character and charm. Their success is our success, and their prosperity is intertwined with the vitality of our communities.

As we engaged in face-to-face meet-and-greets, we didn’t just exchange pleasantries; we exchanged stories, ideas, and visions for a brighter future. We listened intently to their feedback, eager to tailor our business banking services to their evolving needs and aspirations.

Moreover, we put our money where our mouth is – quite literally. By purchasing gift cards from these establishments, we not only supported their bottom line but also encouraged our colleagues and customers to do the same. After all, every dollar spent at a local business is an investment in the heartbeat of our community.

“I truly enjoyed visiting local businesses each year! It isn’t just about buying gift cards but it is about connecting with the heart and soul of our communities! Together we can make a difference and ensure our communities thrive for years to come,” added Melissa Stefanowich, Retail Banking Officer of our Belchertown Banking Center.

But our commitment extends beyond mere transactions. It’s about fostering enduring partnerships, empowering dreams, and championing the spirit of entrepreneurship. Whether it’s providing flexible financing options, personalized advisory services, or innovative digital solutions, we’re here to be their trusted ally every step of the way.

Small businesses are not just economic engines; they’re the lifeblood of our communities. They embody the resilience, creativity, and spirit of possibility that define the American dream. And at Country Bank, we stand shoulder to shoulder with them, ready to champion their cause and celebrate their successes.

As Small Business Week draws to a close, let’s not just applaud these local champions; let’s continue to support, patronize, and uplift them throughout the year. Together, we can build stronger, more vibrant communities where small businesses thrive, and dreams take flight. Thank you for being the heartbeat of our neighborhoods.

On April 2nd, the Worcester Red Sox kicked off their highly anticipated season with a spectacular Opening Day, and Country Bank was at the forefront of the excitement as the official founding partner of the Woo Sox, on site at Polar park to roll out some opening day fun. It was a day filled with camaraderie, community spirit, and of course, plenty of baseball magic!

As fans flooded into the stadium, they were greeted by the sight of Country Bank’s vibrant presence in the concourse. Our team had set up a table filled with exciting prizes and custom jersey giveaways, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. With a whole array of spin-to-win Country Bank branded memorabilia, there was something for everyone to take home as a token of our appreciation!

But the excitement didn’t stop there. Buck, the beloved mascot of Country Bank, joined the ranks of other iconic mascots in a spirited parade on the field during the opening ceremonies. Decked out in his signature attire, Buck brought smiles to the faces of fans young and old as he danced and interacted with the crowd.

Sadly on the morning of Opening Day April 2nd, Larry Lucchino Worcester Red Sox founder and Chairman passed away. He was honored on the field with a Umass Life Flight fly over and special recognition ceremony.

Jodie Gerulaitus, Vice President of Community Relations and Shelley Regin, Senior Vice President of Marketing, representatives of Country Bank, proudly stood on the field during the opening ceremonies, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to the Worcester Red Sox and the vibrant community of Worcester we call home. As the crowd erupted in applause, it was a poignant moment that underscored the strong partnership between Country Bank and the Worcester Red Sox.

But beyond the excitement of the game itself, Opening Day was a celebration of the enduring bond between our bank and the community of Worcester, where we continue to serve and grow a home. It was a testament to the power of collaboration, unity, and shared passion for our hometown team. As the cheers echoed throughout the stadium, it was clear that together, we were not just spectators, but active participants in writing the next chapter of Worcester’s rich baseball legacy.

As the season unfolds, Country Bank remains committed to supporting the Worcester Red Sox every step of the way. Whether it’s cheering from the stands, sponsoring community events, or engaging with fans, we are proud to be part of this incredible journey.

So here’s to a season filled with thrilling victories, unforgettable memories, and countless moments of joy. Go WooSox, and go Country Bank – together, we’re hitting it out of the park!
